Speaker Night One

Christy Currie
Omaha Youth for Christ

Christy came to know Jesus at a young age while living in Kansas. Coming from a Christian home, she was taught the things of God and His Word thoughout her entire growing up years. Like her father, who is a pastor, Christy developed a desire to teach and share the gospel with those around her. After attending a YFC camp in middle school, Christy decided to pursue youth ministry. She went on to graduate from Grace University, and came on staff with Omaha YFC in 1998. Her roles have ranged from Campus Life Director, Intern Coordinator, Training Director, Middle School Director, Communication, and Speaker. Currently, as a part-time staff member, Christy is over-seeing the Widespread Prayer element by sending weekly prayer e-mails and building our prayer team. She also speaks both locally and nationally with YFC. Christy and her husband Jason are passionate about YFC and are grateful to do it together. Spending much of her time at home investing into her three kids (Isaiah, Summer, and Zane), Christy sees her opportunities to pray for teenagers and support her husband as a vital contribution to the ministry of YFC. A perfect day for Christy would include being with her family, going to the beach, speaking, and growing in her understanding of God’s truth and love.
