The 2018 Regional Leadership Conference theme is Mosaic.
Visualize a mosaic, made up of many smaller images, tiles or pieces of glass joined together to create a greater, more significant picture. Looking closely at the mosaic you see a gathering of individual pieces. It is not until you step back and take in the full, broad picture that you begin to understand how each piece is essential, working together to create the whole.
As we gather at RLC’s, this “mosaic” theme will help guide us to understand and value interdependence as a movement. All of the “pieces” of our ministry interdependently contribute to the larger picture of Youth For Christ, to engage one million kids in authentic Christ-sharing relationships.

Training Details

For training, we’ll be talking about unity, interdependence, and ways we can all accomplish more, with greater excellence, when we come together and raise the bar of our efforts on behalf of lost kids.

On Friday evening, there will be a chance to connect with leaders from across the region in similar roles – alongside the other Executive Leaders, Administrative Leaders, and Ministry Leaders according to your ministry model.  This will be a great time to catch up with old friends, make some new connections, hear from national leaders and share ideas specific to your role.

We’re doing something new on Saturday, after the morning general session.  We’ll be moving into breakouts according to your tenure in YFC leadership.  If you’ve been in YFC less than 1 year, you’ll be together with every other new leader in every type of role from across the region.  They’ll be a breakout for those in YFC 1-3 years, 4-6 years, and veterans of more than 7 years.

Why?  Because we’ll be getting our first look at the Standards and Best Practices that leaders from across the movement have been working on for the past year.  This is something we’re really excited about that will be a great resource in your leadership.  We’ll preview about a half dozen of them covering topics like Major Donors, Human Resources Administration, and giving special attention to Relational Ministry Actions, because all of us are here because we want to have excellent ministry.

On Sunday morning before the general session, we’ll be back in our role-based groups from Friday evening to talk about what we’re learning together, go deeper into the standards that apply specifically to you, and how to begin to implement these best practices as we head back home.
